Shohei "Shotime" Ohtani (大谷 翔平)is considered an elite two-way player, winning the 2018 American League (AL) Rookie of the Year Award. His 2021 season widely considered to be historic, the first in the MLB history with: 10+ HR, 20+ SB, 100+ K and 10+ pitching appearances in the same season. His stock is only rising as Ohtani struck out MLB teammate Mike Trout to win the 2023 World Baseball Classic and take down the tournament's MVP Award.
